Christopher Leighton has been a parish clergyman for 25 years, serving in Pittsburgh, PA and Cambridge, MA, before coming to St. Paul’s Church in Darien seven years ago. As a minister of the Word of God, he finds great joy in preaching, ministering in the gifts of the Spirit, evangelizing, and starting new churches. While Christopher doesn’t hold that there is a place of punishment for Christians after death, he says that if there were, his idea of hell would be God showing him all that he could have accomplished if he had only trusted Him. Married to Janet, they have four children and two grandchildren.
