Eric is most known as an author, having worked as a writer for VeggieTales, Chuck Colson, and The New York Times. He wrote a runaway bestseller, Everything You Always Wanted to Know About God (but were afraid to ask). He also wrote a NY Times bestselling biography on William Wilberforce, Amazing Grace, and is currently working on a biography of Dietrich Bonheoffer. He is the Co-Founder of the New Canaan Society, one of three that began meeting in Jim Lane's family room in the early 1990's. He serves as the Emcee for the NCS Annual Retreat, bringing his own unique flavor of humor and wit to that role. He grew up in Danbury, Connecticut, and attended
Yale
University , where he edited the Yale Record, the nation's oldest college humor magazine. At graduation, Eric delivered the Class History, a satirical address that is a Yale tradition, and was awarded several senior prizes for his undergraduate writing. Eric is the director and host of Socrates in the City: Conversations on the Examined Life, a monthly event of "entertaining and thought-provoking" discussions on life, God, and other topics that meets in NYC.
